Who are the speakers?

Sidra Morris

As the result of years of experience running Knox Academy-the hybrid school and homeschool support program she co-founded, Sidra believes natural, student-led learning is a simpler, more effective way to be educated. She has worked with hundreds of people from homeschool parents to microschool directors and mentors to build student-led learning experiences like constructing a 16 foot giraffe, directing stop-motion animated films, building a playground in Mexico and sewing traditional hand-crafted Indian saris. She is on a mission to share with everyone the importance of poetry in a child’s education. It expands critical thinking skills, elevates vocabulary and strengthens family bonds. Poetry is also a natural way to spark curiosity and foster a love of learning while exploring areas such as music, art, math, science, history and more. Through poetry your children will become the deep thinkers and leaders of tomorrow.
